Here's a surreal botanical watercolor from me to mark the awesomeness of fungi. I've been collecting photos of all kinds of lovely shrooms during my stay in Lithuania earlier this year: red headed and droopy, shiny and tiny, ones that look like jellyfish and others that look like corals. Fascinating!
Each mushroom has its own character so my job was pretty easy - these were just poppin' up on paper without much effort! But then of course I spent many hours carefully shaping this painting to create something that looks like it travelled here from another time and another world, even.
