An illustration I did for INDIE magazine’s anniversary issue. The theme was “The Ten Commandments” and the one I’ve picked was #4 - “Honour thy father and thy mother”. I took the subject of inheritance literally, which added… uhm.. some gore to the meaning. Did a couple of sketches, but the mag editors (godbless) decided that they are okay with going “as dark as possible”, which totally worked for me.
I used watercolour and ink for the actual piece, which was then scanned and slightly touched digitally before exporting for print.
